Medium gold. Stone fruits, full of maturity and burnished on the nose. Deep and rather umami on the palate, turning fresher, more focused and more brilliant by the minute. Very complex and very alive but serene. No sulphite added.

Deep berry fruits with hints of fir, thyme, clove and vine leaf. Sapid and quite intense, this is ever-changing, turning brighter and more well defined with aeration. Little wonder why this holds a special place in the owners' hearts, not least for its surprising complexity, balance and levity. A brilliant Grolleau archetype which vindicates the view shared by most talented vignerons in the region who consider it the quintessential Loire variety. No SO2 added.

Incorporating a blend with black grapes pressed as white wine adds unusual aromas: white pepper, dried roses, all subtle undercurrent. Fresh, incisive and mineral-tinged, but quite textured. Tonic juice to start any drinking session. Delicious. No SO2 added.

The most intense of all the domaine’s reds. Little wonder as the vines were planted in 1945. Classic franc aromas: raspberry, tobacco leaf, a touch of red peppers. Solid mouthfeel but slowly unwind in the glass — present but seamless tannins, wet earth, cassis-tinged fruitiness. With even more time: endless layers and undeniable yumminess. Serious juice. No SO2 added.

Pale red, just shy of a rosé and What. A. Nose! Soaring, zippy red berry fruit and cracked white pepper; minutes later, a touch of meaty reduction made pretty with touches of rose petals. Floral, fresh and appetising. A remarkable charmer. No SO2 added.
